This place is quite a site to see! If you can afford to eat in their restaurant then do, they have great food and your surrounded by a huge fish aquarium. It's quite an experience to see all different sized fish swimming right next to you. They have a nice bar if you want to have a drink. And the exhibit is definitely fun to see and educational at the same time. And for the best part of the deal there is a small amusement park with a big Ferris wheel you all can enjoy.

Always love visiting The Aquarium in Downtown Houston. Food is a bit pricey but it goes towards the care of the fish and other animals. The amusement park is pretty fun too. You have the option to purchase an attraction pass for around $20 per person. The absolute best value. My favorite exhibit are the stingrays. Get the upgrade to include fish food for the ultimate interactive experience. You can always purchase additional trays of fish for $3.50 each too.
I must admit that I was skeptical of The Downtown Aquarium at first. Heres why I recommend it now: - You can find great deals, like BOGO passes, if you check in advance and plan wisely.- The exhibits inside are excellent and well-done, much better than many large city aquariums weve visited.- The staff is helpful and friendly. The venue is clean.- All-day passes are completely worth it, especially with young children. The Downtown Houston area has other sights to see, so being able to return is a great deal.- Off-season months are the best time to visit. Houston weather can be great in January, and the crowds are light.- If you are a Landrys rewards member, the restaurant is a good place to gain or use points. The kids meals are tasty. I also enjoyed my vegetarian option, a grain and vegetable bowl.- They are planning more to come! Its exciting to see that the Aquarium will continue to expand.-Parking is not a problem if you are creative or save up for it.(Downtown view photos from the Ferris Wheel)
This was my first time ever going to the Aquarium and I have lived here all my life. First off its a very nice and fun place to go. Bring the family, bring friends or just the kids. They all will love it. Oh and the food is so good. Delicious!! So I guess you are wondering why three stars. Well the bathrooms were absolutely horrible and the odor was sickening. I am a clean freak and I firmly believe how you keep your bathroom is probably how you keep your kitchen. And it wasnt just one bathroom it was both the first floor and second floor bathrooms. For a place as nice and pricey like this there should be someone taking care of the bathrooms every hour and putting an air freshener in each one doesnt cost much at all. The wait staff did not become attentive until the found out we had a bunch of Landry card holders at our table. Having a rewards card should not affect our service. This is still s great place I just feel there are a few important details that could make it even better.
