Our son attended this location for a year we highly recommend it. Our son had mobility issues when he started and the staff were always patient and supportive with his needs. If you live or work around the Med center or downtown and have a little one then you should go in for a tour. We're very glad that we did.

Steer clear of this school! I foolishly enrolled my toddler here after relocating back to Houston because this school had been at the top of our list before we moved out of state. Looking back, I ignored some of the warning signs like not being able to interact with my child's teacher, did not tour his specific classroom because they said they try to keep the room sanitized for the kids (yet the staff walks in and out of the classrooms without shoe covers or changing shoes). Children are dropped off at the lobby of the infant school which is usually managed by the school director (Jan). She does EVERYTHING (answers phones, fetches each child at pick up and drop off, answers parent's questions about the kids, etc.), and she is usually so scatter brained, but claims to know everything about every child even though she gets the facts wrong half of the time! I was surprised the first day when I picked up my son and he was in a back classroom that you can't see into and cannot walk into and we were not allowed to speak to the teacher to ask how my son's first day had gone. When I asked Jan if i could introduce myself to the teacher, she politely told me i could do so at the parent/teacher conference meetings that happen twice a year! Are you kidding me!?My son got a diaper rash a few days after starting. A rash that I would manage to clear up over the weekend and would reappeared once the week started again. I provided diaper cream and requested they apply it after every diaper change. A request that was being ignored by the teachers until the third time i asked very sternly. I also never got an accurate daily note from the electronic app used. My 18 month old always magically ate "all" his food and drank every drop of milk even though I know he hates milk, and he was always starving and signing or asking for food and water as soon as I got him in the car!Needless to say, I can go on and on about how unimpressed I was about this school. We withdrew my son after only the first month because i was so uneasy during the day and I could not get off work soon enough to go pick him up from that place. The cherry on the cake was reading a citation on the Texas Health & Human Services, Child Care Licensing website stating that "two caregivers at the operation tied a child to a chair with a shirt as a form of discipline" (8/24/16). This caught my attention especially because the classroom all the kiddos got condensed into in the mornings and evenings was one you couldn't see into directly. You never knew what the teacher, student ratio was back there, just how clean it was, what was happening back there, etc. I truly hope this review helps other parents make the right decision about this place.

I have 2 kids that have been enrolled here for about 18 months (2 years and 5 years old) and they both love it and are doing great! We put the 5 year old in public school to start kindergarten and quickly placed her back in Montessori after 3 months. Once back at Montessori her reading and math skills improved exponentially. She is reading full books on her own after 8 weeks back at MSODT. As for the 2 year old, he is speaking in complete sentences and loving learning. We feel very fortunate to have found such a great school with amazing staff.

Our kids (4.5 and 2.5) have been enrolled here for almost 8 months now. Great location, amazing teachers (thank you so much Ms Karina & Isabella!!!), awesome staff. Price obviously steep, but we've found it worth the investment. We also get daily reports on the children through an app (regarding food and diaper changes and pictures for the younger one). We feel satisfied with the security level as well. Note: this is a great school if you want to learn!!!

The School of Infants is great and the teachers there are capable. There is never a shortage of teachers to make sure the children are engaged and on their own. There is always security out front so we dont have to worry about anything. We get updates on our childs progress regularly and Ms. Jan runs a tight ship so we have no issues with the school.
