We were really for the Filipino Festival.Great entry and egress.Parking no issues either.Ticket stand was easily accessible.Purchasing was simple.Security was great.I even saw the Houston Fire Marshal walking around inspecting. Houston police and a Harris County Constables were on hand.Lots of Food selections. I mean a lot.Very good aromas, colors, and tastes.Lots of items for sale. Everything was reasonably priced.My family really had a great time.Thank you guys.
The stadium is nice looks nice, but it has very old bones. I expected the stadium to have a few more upgrades to the bathrooms and the concessions stands but they look like the same set since it was built... the ticket booths could use a face lift add well. As much money as Rice pulls in Im shocked they havent given any thought to upgrading those areas.
We went on a whim and enjoyed it - turns out it was family day. There's a lot of pregame tailgating - some of it very organized by Rice organizations.The stadium is a college stadium and next time I'd bring cushions, a hat and sunscreen. That or sit under the shade. Lot of vendors there as well so you can get burgers, dogs, fries, nachos, wine, beer and soft drinks (so long as it's the Coke family).I enjoyed it and would go again.
The stadium has a lot of history and is nostalgic. Restrooms are not very modernize. Kind of throwback to the sixties. But the field was very nice. And the stadium seats where your typical aluminum seats bench seats. Great time, easy parking, small crowd!
A good place to watch a football game, but definitely lacking the amenities we've all come to expect in modern stadiums. Concessions and restrooms are substandard. They could at least put some TVs up to watch the game while standing in 15-minute long concessions lines.
