My first time visiting today and I wouldnt come back. I've been treating with UT for several years and never had any bad experiences until now. I had an appointment today and the doctor wasnt even available. I was told I'd have to reschedule after leaving work and driving 40 minutes to this place. I only came because my usual location had no openings and it was urgent. Nevertheless I agreed to see a nurse instead. The lady in check in told me I had not met my deductible and I'd be charged on the way out. I told her that was incorrect and had met my deductible but asked what the charge was? She told me very nonchalantly that I'd still owed towards my deductible and she did not know what my charge was until she received the code from the nurse. You cant tell someone you're going to blindly charge them and expect for them to agree to an unknown charge. The most appropriate thing to do would've been to bill my carrier first or estimate the charge if I had not actually met my deductible. Well I'd been seen several times in the last month by UT at the other location and my insurance was already verified. I wasnt sure why this location was trying to charge me. I thought it was very unorganized and unprofessional. Nevertheless I called my insurance and verified that I'd in fact met my deductible. I ended up canceling and just scheduling at my usual location for another day. Inconvenience driving 40 minutes and leaving work not to be seen at all for this. I called the office manager Fahad and explained what happened so hopefully the more complaints, the issue will eventually get resolved. I would not waste my time going here. I'm sure the doctors are great but the staff suck big time. Very unprofessional and unorganized. I'd give no stars but I can't. Oh and not to mention I'm a certified biller who works for the insurance company so I understand protocols. Smh
