We always have so much fun at the zoo. It's well kept and has a great selection of animals to see as well as other activities for the kids to do. Just don't go in the afternoon . Half of the animals are sleeping or hiding away that it's seems there aren't any animals in most of the cages . Last time we went we got to hear a short presentation on the elephants though and it was so fascinating! I love that they have workers come out and engage the animals for you and teach stuff !
It is a cool place to take kids. It is nice to get in for free.
You got to pay to get in! I recommend you to wear some comfortable shoes because you are going to be walking around
So many animals I am not familiar with! Flamingo and red pandas! My BF and I had a happy time there. I like Houston Zoo very much!
Took my son to the zoo to try something new. Line was so long just to get in. Felt like 100f. Brutal. Then s nice lady said she can get me inside in less than five minutes. Would cost $20 extra. Done. Come to find out she sold us an annual pass. Now we go every week. Have splash pads, big rooms, playground, and a ton of animals. Love it. If you are a first timer, when it comes to parking, hopefully you and partner/ spouse/ child have patience or dont mind getting there first thing. You can bring in food and drinks if you want to. They have restaurants. Restaurants are nice enough. Seems there is always something a little off with the A/C, so it is still a little warmer than perfect, but we love it.
