The park is great for running and biking! There are nice pedestrian bridges all along the park that make accessing different sections really easy.
Great place to visit to enjoy nature. There are beautiful views of downtown Houston, the bayou, and large areas perfect for picnics. Several wide sidewalks for jogging, biking, or just going for a walk. Not to mention Johnny Steele Dog Park, which has an area for large dogs with plenty of fenced in running room with water amenities and a small dog area (also enclosed separately) for the little ones. I visit several times a week and the visitors and their pets are always friendly.
Great park! Excellent trails with a view of downtown Houston with plenty of interesting things to discover along the way. Two great dog parks with swimming pool for your pooch. What's not to love about this place?
Omg what a way to speed the day with family! After such a wonderful THANKSGIVING meal. We went and had a blast here at the park. So many things to do. From renting bikes to walking the trail to even kayaking. Most importantly spending time with family.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Buffalo bayou park!! Its a great place to exercise, people watch, have a picnic, a cute date, snow cone! Theres so many great things to do. We typically rent bikes for $5/hr when we go. The trail is challenging yet appropriate for all levels in my opinion. Theres a bat cave you can watch the bats fly away at sunset. There are several foundations and other sculptures which are really nice backdrops for photos. Every time i go i see prom pics, graduation pics, or cute couples pics being taken. This is a gem in Houston and i love it.
