Beautiful old homes representing the history of Houston's early people. Lots of open space and great staff. The Staiti house is probably my favorite home in the park but I think the St John church is my favorite building on the site with it's simple but elegant design and functionality.

Full disclosure, I work in special events. This is a great park for a large event or a small gathering. Close to downtown so consider public transportation. Great night scene after hours. Careful after a big rainfall. Ants are out for blood.

Nice park in the middle of Downtown Houston. Quiet, relaxing place to visit alone or with the family. There is also a area with settings for kids. I saw wildlife (crane, turtles, ducks) in the "pond" area. Very scenic as you can also visit the historic society landmarks while there. Have a picnic or just read a book, but you will enjoy this park. Also be sure to visit the current "Open House" exhibit. I would recommend visiting.

Spent some time here listening to the history of Houston. Very interesting. You walk around the park visiting many different historical structures wile listening to prerecorded facts about the property. If you love history and would like to take a little peak into the history of Texas awesome place to start.

I love coming to this park. The houses are always fun to go see, and they have nice walking trails, a gazebo, fountain, swings, and normally a few ducks and turtles in the pond. There is normally some parking around on the nearby streets. Not unusual to see people out here taking pictures. Fun park for little ones and big ones.
