Professional staff and airport looks good nothing bad
The ease of maneuvering through the airport was good, signs were helpful. It was $5 for 1 hour parking, it was alright..
customer service is trash. im not a peppy person. im not a sensitive person. you don't need to ask how my day is or have a smile on your face. just be cordial, clear and thats it. we dont even have to make eye contact. and even by my extremely low standards they failed. the tsa agents are doing their job but doing it rudely. No, not firmly. No, not assertively. No, not expeditiously. Straight up unprofessional, losing their cool and rude. their instructions are not CLEAR and then they get mad when people didn't "listen." It wasnt that bad with me, but i saw others get mistreated. A lot of ESL speakers had trouble too :(. yeah, sorry we don't spend a full work shift here?? Lots of people were obviously non-frequent flyers, so they've only spent maybe 30 mins in an airport their entire life, or probably fly only every few yrs. SORRY that a 70 yr old lady couldn't react at your pace?? everything else is okay. no one else is rude, they're actually very helpful (the ppl at the bag kiosks, check-in,etc.) just the security part.
Its not falling apart, but it feels like the zombie apocalypse if you have to take an early flight. Terminal E is a food desert and Im sure theres got to be a toilet hidden here somewhere. Bring your own water, theres not a 24/7 store, dont even dream about drinking fountains, thats communism and this is the land of the free for all. Theres got to be a vending machine somewhere, just have to think what would Tom Hanks do.
I fly a good bit and while this is not the worst airport I have been in... its not my favorite. Its dated, poorly laid out, and the staff can be less than professional in the parking / drop-off pick up area.Its easy to get to the rental cars and on to main roads fast. Overall a B in my book.
