Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I just got a call from their staff and I was informed my multi-entry VISA has been approved. My application process is a pleasant experience. I called their staff before I dropped off my application. They explained to me what are required in details patiently over the phone . On their website, they have also listed all the required documents. When I was in the consulate office, VISA officers are also very polite and carefully went through my documents. Since I have called before I go, I have prepared all they need. After 4 business days, the VISA is approved. The whole process from preparation to approval was very easy and pleasant. Hopeful this can help others to get their VISA done easily as well.

That Caucasian female staff is so horrible. Her attitude is extremely super! And it is also a disaster about their email system. No replies and the calling will never get through. Who knows if they turn off the calling or not. One more thing, they have no sense of personal privacy. Because I will go back to China for a month before going to Japan, they asked me to provide my personal itinerary in China. I really don't understand why Japanese government wants to see my Chinese itinerary since China is not belongs to Japan. Does it have anything to do with Japanese Consulate? Worst embassy, SHAME ON YOU! I will never go to Japan anymore because its worst embassy.

I went to get my passport renewed. I thought the guy who helped me with the process /paper work, was very kind and nice. He called me when my ID pic wasn't suited for the requirements and told me what I needed to do make it better. He even called me when my passport is ready to go so I can come in without any consequences. Not sure he was courteous because I live 3 hrs away from Houston or maybe that's how they do things. I was actually surprised when he called me since it's government office, you won't expect them to be nice, but this guy was helpful and very polite mannered man.
