We just moved to Houston from out of state and we're looking for a new vet when we stumbled upon Bayou City Vet Hospital. We had a wonderful visit with Dr. Kirby yesterday, who took the time to listen to our concerns and answer questions. We loved our experience and will definitely be returning!
Very glad to have these people in my neighborhood. They always seem to be able to fit us in at short notice, and everyone has been very professional and kind to my girl.
This veterinary clinic is great for basic skills that can be met at a vet clinic such as one found at Petsmart. However, I had 3 animals that had been seeing them, as they are so close to my home.Unfortunately, one of my animals became very ill and lost his eyesight. I brought him in immediately upon observation. I was told not to worry. Days later when the other eye was looking suspicious, I called and brought him immediately in. At this time we knew there was a very serious problem, as he was experiencing total blindness. Dr. Kirby recommended a blood test. This was on a Friday and I was told repeatedly on that Friday by Dr. Kirby, as I asked several times when the results would be available, that I would be contacted on Monday with the results of his blood tests. After waiting patiently, I called to see if the results were in. They were! However, I was told that Dr. Kirby was out until Wednesday and no other doctor would be willing to give me his blood tests results. I asked the front desk for help to see if another doctor could call me with his results. As Dr. Kyle has seen him in the past and it was close to 3pm, which apparently is the time when ALL of their doctors sign off! She refused. I am appalled at the lack of attention and care I received upon such a critical time from a practice I deemed competent.Apparently, they work independently. This isnt a hair salon where hair stylists rent chairs. This is a medical facility in which I bestowed all my trust in them to provide the best care for my loved ones. Now, their lack of action and care may have a lasting affect on my cats longevity.
I could not be any happier with my first visit here with my puppy. Dr Ali was amazing and so were all of the receptionists and nurses. My puppy Murphy definitely enjoyed his visit too :) They treated him so well, and took very gentle care of him. Everything was explained thoroughly, and it was VERY obvious they truly cared about my little guy! I immediately scheduled all of his followups here. You've got a loyal customer now.
We absolutely love this veterinary hospital. The doctors and staff treat every fur baby as if they were their own family, with the highest level of care possible. Even in the most difficult situations, they go above and beyond, providing outstanding care, and with current and cutting edge options. All the doctors at Bayou City Veterinarian Hospital are amazing!!! However, Dr. Kyle is above exceptional. Hats off...love them.
