I dont think I can put into words how amazing the staff at Urban Animal Veterinary Hospital is. They have treated my pup like he is their own. Dr. Granson is very knowledgeable and I trust her completely. Ty just makes my day as soon as I walk in the door. I could not recommend them more (and I have to many friends who are just as happy).
This is a great veterinary clinic. They are open 7 days a week and the staff is all super caring, well informed, and very customer service oriented. Dr Granson is very knowledgeable and does a great job communicating what she suspects may be going on, and then explaining tests and possible treatment options including costs. When Ive had a few questions about my aging Labrador retriever she has gotten right on the phone and thoroughly explained things to me. I really appreciate their convenient business hours and location. 5 stars!
I've had a fabulous experience with Urban Animal Hospital. Dr. Granson and all the staff are very competent and caring. My 19 year old cat Oscar was not doing well and I wasn't happy with my current vet so I brought him to Urban Animal Hospital. They spent lots of time with me explaining his geriatric ailments and options to treat him and keep him comfortable. They were price transparent and told me up front all costs so I could decide the best course of action. I found their prices to be very reasonable. And Oscar is back to his old self acting like a spry 15 year old!
Pros: They are open on SundayCons: They were very expensive, prescribed a ton of medication, and made me wait five hours in a treatment room.I cant say I had a very good experience with this vet hospital. I brought my cat here because he stopped eating and they were the only vet open on Sunday, which is one point I will give them. I sat in a treatment room for nearly five hours while they ran one blood test and they never gave me any indication that it would take that long or apologize for making me wait for such an exorbitant amount of time, even for a Sunday. The vet prescribed six different medications for him and wanted me to call back in two days if he did not get better. When he still wasnt eating and actually seemed to get worse, I called back and told them. The vet mentioned that many more expensive tests would be needed. At that point, I decided I was more comfortable taking my cat to his regular vet. The regular vet saw me in 45 minutes, changed his treatment plan and invalidated five of the six medications he had been prescribed. My cat began eating and regaining his energy two days later. He has gotten much better. I wish I had waited an extra day and taken my cat to his regular vet as all I seemed to get from this hospital was an expensive vet bill.
From the moment myself and my sister arrived, we felt comfortable and well taken care of. My vet is not open on Sunday and I had a situation with a stray cat I had been taking care of. They treated her loving care and explained every nook and cranny of the whys and wherefores of her treatment. I definitely recommend them as veterinarians in human beings.
