Has been at hospital for the whole day today. Spent half of time at ER. The team of doctors, nurses, & staffs are knowledgeable and super friendly which made my day went by easier.Today I was back to HM for outpatient treatment. The staffs at outpatient center really make me feel like a home since walking in. Will be back for several more times.
Staff member named Barbara Faulkner in the OPC 18th floor is so wonderful at her job and was so helpful and kind. She made our family feel so welcome, calmed, and informed the entire time we were there while my son had surgery on 1-31-19.
Methodist Hospital is one of the Best hospitals in the world. It has been for many decades, since Dr Debakey & Dr Gotto were there. Although the doctors are not world known as these icons, they do have very good doctors in many specialties.
Facility looks nice, staff is nice as well. But Hospital does not offer same level of cancer treatment as other facilities, though they claim to. Do not offer 7 day a week outpatient care. If you need certain infusions over the weekend or holiday you have to be admitted for 23 hour observation(shame cancer and infection s don't work banker's hours). If you are late for your appointment say over an hour you have to reschedule, but if they ask you to come in earlier and you do, then you have to wait on them for over an hour.
My husband has been a surgical patient twice in Houston Methodist in 2018. He received great care both times. I was also treated very well. Our experience at HM has been good under difficult circumstances.
