Emergency room staff are awesome. They were all smiles and caring and you never feel forgotten. 6th floor staff are rockstars! They are kind and compassionate and love what they do and where they work. I will never go to another hospital if I can help it.
Everyone I interacted with was quite pleasant. The hospital was very clean and the food they have is good.
I went to the emergency room the other day for and was admitted for observation overnight. I couldn't have been more pleased with the attitude and service that I received. From the check in, the ER nurses, the CAT scan crew, the MRI crew and the nurses and staff (including the hospital volunteers) who looked after me overnight and into the next day I received unprecedented care. I don't know what happened with the people who gave this place a bad review, but I have never been treated better. I am a fairly opinionated person and have no problem speaking the truth good or bad and this place was fantastic. Obviously if you are coming to an ER, you have a problem, and you don't need any issues with the hospital. I hope you feel better and I know that the staff here will do their best to help you get better.
The reason for the 3-star is the ER service which is not as good as it should be. Although I give the nurses and the doctors high points for performing their job well while they were inside the room with me, the nurses generally took too long between checks (totally unacceptable and a huge liability) and on my last visit one of the nurses kept forgetting to bring me the doctor's note I had requested since my supervisor at work needed it. I also had to call the nurse twice to assist me in disconnecting the IV tube so I could go use the restroom, and I had to hold it for several minutes after pressing the call button. I was NOT happy about that! "Customer service" could use an improvement! However, it's a good hospital to go to for medical procedures and they provide top-notch service in regards to that.
Houston Methodist West is the best hospital in Katy, I've had 2 surgeries there and most of my Specialist are there as well, I've never had a bad experience going to this hospital. Everyone has always been professional, kind and very courteous, they do their best to make you feel comfortable before, during and after any procedure.
